About Chris Irwin\nFrom standing room only presentations at The Master
s at Spruce Meadows to opening day of the races at Keeneland in Kentuc
ky, from Equine Affaire in the U.S. to the prestigious Horse Event in
The Netherlands, Chris Irwin has been mesmerizing audiences while sign
ificantly raising the bar for defining the evolution of horsemanship a
nd the ethics of training and handling horses.\nOn a parallel track, I
rwin’s two best-selling books, Horses Don’t Lie and Dancing with Y
our Dark Horse, along with his innovative approach to personal coachin
g called Equine Assisted Personal Development (EAPD), have launched th
e Canadian horseman to the forefront in the emerging industry of horse
s being worked with in therapeutic and personal coaching programs.\nTh
roughout Canada, the United States, Belgium, The Netherlands, Mexico,
Bermuda, and now England, certified Irwin trainers in both English and
Western disciplines are raising eyebrows in the show ring. From drivi
ng to dressage, Irwin students are winning or in the ribbons while mos
t often stealing the show with horses proving to be exceptional in tem
perament, willingness and performance.\nCritics have raved about the f
act that Irwin is not mainstream or just another commercialized copy o
f “natural horsemanship.” In fact, Irwin says with, a wink and a g
rin, that if his work must be branded then perhaps it should be called
“un-natural horsemanship.” Many of his certified trainers endeari
ngly refer to what they have learned form Chris as “so far beyond co
ntemporary horsemanship that it can only be described as ‘super-natu
ral horsemanship’.”\nWhen coaching Chris is dedicated and focused
on the concept he sums up as the need for “Training before Schooling
.”\nChris and his wife Kathryn own and operate Riversong Ranch Eques
trian Centre in Alberta.\n\nToronto CADORA -- The Classical Riding Clu
