SUMMARY:The Mongol Derby
DESCRIPTION:In August, 2014 I will be riding in the Mongol Derby, a 10
 00 kilometer horse race across the wilds of Mongolia. We will brave al
 l kinds of terrain from mountains to river valleys, steppes, and deser
 t while riding strings of 25 different semi-wild Mongolian horses. \n
 There is no marked trail or path. We have to guide ourselves across th
 e terrain using a GPS and a map with coordinates on it. There is no he
 lp, no team ready to swoop in and assist if we fall off or decide to g
 ive up. We will have an SOS device that if used, withdraws us from the
  race. I'm hoping to be the first American woman to win the Mongol Der
 by!I will be riding to raise money for After the Races and need to bot
 h raise the funds for the trip as well as donations toward the 501(c)3
