I'm 5'3, would I be too tall for a pony that's 14.2hh?

I do sometimes look taller on a horse especially with longer stirrups (dressage), but I think it would be ok if the pony/horse was a little stockier.

Also the horse in my profile pic is 15.3hh.

I am currently 5'3 3/4" at 144 lbs. I ride both a 14 hand and a 14 1 1/2 mares. Horses these heights fit me better.
A pony with well sprung ribs can take up an amazing length of leg.
Have fun riding the pony!
My daughter rides her 14.2 Pony and is 5'7" Here is a picture of her from this weekend.

No! I ride a 14hh, fairly stocky pony and I am 5'2" and I don't look or feel too big for her. Kinda depends on how you are built too (ie long torso or not) to know if you will look out of balance. Ponies rule.
Wellll...if your feet drag on the ground when you sit in the saddle...you may be too big for the pony

If you can mount the pony without having to take one foot off the ground while clearing the other over his back ...you may be too big for the pony

If you can feed your pony a treat from the saddle without leaning over or them turning their head to get it...you may be too big for the pony

If you can lean back while sitting in the saddle and take dirt off the back of the hock....you may be too big for the pony

If you jump your pony and take a rail with your dangling foot....you may be too big for the pony

If you go into a correct forward seat over a fence and find yourself looking in your ponys' eye while he is rounding his back beautifully...you may be too big for the pony

If you can lean slightly forward in the saddle and kiss your ponys' cute little nose...you may be too big for the pony

Other than that...you should be fine
