I'm looking for a new farrier for my horses.  I'm located in Jamestown TN.  How does one go about finding a good farrier?  Word of mouth?  It's been 11 years since I've had to find one and I'm not looking forward to it.  Any recommendations would be gladly received!

I'd start by checking with my vet for suggestions. You could visit a training barn or maybe go to a horse show and check with some different people there. Where I used to board there was at least 5 different farriers that came and where I am now we have 15 horses and 5 different farriers. Of course everyone thinks their's is the best.
