The video community for horse people everywhere
Hello everyone!
About a day and a half ago, I went to see my horse and his right eye was a bit swollen. Not swollen shut, he can still open in up and see through it, but It is swollen none the less compared to the other. I think it might be irritating him a little, but it's not infected, nothing green or yellow is coming out.. just clear tears that seem to run down his cheek.
I suppose he might have gotten dust or something inside of it. I have tried flushing it out, and I put a cool compress on it. It doesn't seem quite as bad and I have a vet hopefully coming up in the next day or so. Just called her a few hours ago, since my horse needs his annual shots and I wanted to get his teeth checked as well.
I have just been monitoring it for the past day to see if it would get any better.. but I know you shouldn't really mess around when it comes to eyes.
Some advice would be greatly apprieciated. Has anyone dealt with this sort of thing before?
Thanks
Hartley
