The video community for horse people everywhere

Hi there,

My horse has a swollen front knee. I guess he hurt his leg in the field or something. He isn't favouring it at all and it doesn't feel hot or anything. It just doesn't seem to be bothering him at all. But it is quite bigger compared to the other knee. Anyone have any advice for me? I will be calling a vet soon if it doesn't get better.

I have him in his stall.

What I used to do for mysterious swellings was to hose them down for 20 minutes with cold water at least once a day, preferably twice a day. I think the longest I did this was for two weeks (with a capped hock.)
By all means call the vet if it does not improve.
