I am a fraud, as I don't own one, but my very good friend has purchased a pure Andalusion bu Don Marcos, and he is now rising 2. We found him to be a handfull on the ground, and he was gelded as a yearling. Arador is going to have a future in Dressage. He is magnificent. His in hand work is coming along, and as soon as the ground thaws, he will be longlining and learning to behave in new situations. I am now a fan of these horses, and will lurk here to learn as much as possible.

I just love baroque horses. Most of the horses at the barn where I ride are that.

My big girl is a 6 yo andalusian x percheron. She is incredible...3 years ago this green rider bought a green horse--and only because of her kindness and wisdom do I remain in one piece to tell the story. We have trail ridden in mountains, across rivers, fox hunted, and she is now being trained for dressage. I want to clone her :)

Here are some pics of the PRE mares I own, they are mother and daughter, I fell in love with Fiesta and when I found her daughter said the writing was on the wall, must have her too.
Fiesta is in foal to my riding instructor's stallion Pavon II, out of Canada, now living in Indianapolis at "on Eagle's wings farm" Ellin Daum owns him.

I am riding dressage, second year, came from ugh-saddle seat with my prev Morgan, my new Morgan is destined for dressage training.

Both PRE mares have has some dressage work but we are basically beginners. My husband and I were riding school horses in our lessons and this year will be building our indoor arena AT HOME. I can't wait!
also CAN'T wait to see our first foal.
we had a wonderful time at the Fiesta Midwest, June last year. It was a spectacular collection of PRE horses. I hope to show some ( entry level) and halter classes this year with Festiva. I won't take Fiesta out, she is in a delicate way right now.
Am considering other stallions for another match up.

Hi Mary-Joe,

The grey mare I am riding in some of my pics is a Lippy cross - fabulous horse! the most fun ever. She has done a real mix of things dressage, eventing, pony club, endurance.

She has bred a couple of foals who both compete at affiliated level. One of the other lippy crosses we bred is owned by international clinician Claire Lilley & is in all her books - in fact he is on the front cover of her new book on dressage to music.

One day, I'd like a dun Lusitano.

Hi Stephanie. We have several Friesans that show dressage here in Ontario as well. I really like Friesans but have never ridden one.
