The older rider has a few more challenges than the young rider. When we are thrown we don't bounch back as well. I have thought of changing to western but the saddle is so bulky. What do all of you think?
I thought about starting a group like this for us more seasoned types, but never got around to it. Thanks for doing this, Debbie.
In 2006, at the tender age of 43, my dream horse trotted into my life after a life time of me dreaming about it. Like you, Debbie, I am a very happy woman. :-)
Went to barn today. Vet is due out next week for all our horses. It is time for Coggins, rabies, strangles, west nile shots etc.. Those riding today four women over forty and two men. So nice to hear adult conversation while on the back of a horse. Topic today was vacations with your own horse. Any ideas?
Yes, that is me. After two children - daughter 19 and a son 12, I am back to riding. I never really left it, even through graduate school. I purchased my dream horse last year and now am a very happy woman.
