Why do you like dressage?

Hello everyone,
I would like to find out, what makes horse people interested in dressage. How did YOU become involved in dressage, what keeps YOU interested in the fine art of dressage?

when I found my new friend Red I knew as a mature rider I did not want to jumpand was looking for something to do other than just hacking. I looked Dressage up on line and started reading. I was hooked. I am just starting but I am loving the whole thing. My guy is a Saddlebred X and I am very excited to take this challenged with him

I started riding when I was 7 years old. When I was 9, I watched my trainer ride this grey horse and do some amazing things with him. Turns out that this was dressage and from that moment on, I was totally hooked!
