My name is LaShauna Galvin. I am 18 turning 19. I have rescued horses all my life with my dad and now with my mom. For the last 4 years I have been showing those I rescued to prove a point that you don't have to have a registered horse to be a champion. March 8, 2009 my very first rescue that I bought with my own money was adopted by a family looking for a horse that they could keep as a company horse for their mare that they show.

I love horses to death!
Good for you LaShauna...it must be hard to see them go to a new home but you must feel so proud of them and yourself.
My first horse was a rescue too. actually she ended up being a purebred Welsh Cob - although she looked like a donkey when we first got her. She was briliant - we used to show cross country and jumper back in England and she was excellent. Sadly we outgrew her, she was 14.2hh. That was a sad day to see her go.....
i understand that. Wild Fire taught me my limits of training and was my only friend for a few years when I was alone. He had a sciss on his lip so he didn't get to be a good show horse but I would have loved for the chance to show him.

She sounds adorable.
