As good hay is virtually impossible to come by now in Ireland, are you soaking hay or using haylage? I used to feed haylage but much prefer hay so that I can feed them pretty much as much as they want to eat. I've been using a hay steamer now for about 6 months and my COPD horse is now cough free!
