We're delighted to announce our lucky winners!

The lucky winners of our fantastic competition were Laura Devitt and Eileen Lippert. Laura has won herself a weekend for two at the stunning Maranatha Country House in Co. Cork.
This beautiful, period country house is graced with large, romantic bedrooms, all of which have private bathrooms and overlook the rolling and luscious countryside. Located a stone’s throw from the spectacular Blarney Castle in the quaint village of Blarney, you can stroll through the beautiful private woodlands and meadows or enjoy the many nearby attractions and activities, including close and easy access to over 10 Golf courses!
Eileen has won a fantastic Bucas Power Turnout light rug.
Well done guys!

So, if you had a choice, would you go Irish or warmblood? I'd go Irish over warmblood any day...except possibly for pure dressage! Irish bred horses have the blood, the brains and that crucial surviv…

Hi Margaret! Welcome to HorsePlay Ireland. I know we're biased, but we think Irish horses are the best...they must end up quite expensive in the US though? Keep playing the lottery...that's our motto!

I would love to be able to purchase an Irish Draught Horse; alas, all my $$$ goes to the Thoroughbred in the photo! Maybe someday if my 56 yr old body holds up, I'll be able to find a sound one for free or for a small price....

Has everyone seen a new Irish webiste called www.thetackroom.ie ? I was looking for a side saddle cover and got one, I couldn't belive my luck! I also bought a rug and a few other bits, they couldn't have been more helpful with my queries and everything arrived the next day! I thought I'd pass it on as soo many people are buying on line from the UK and it's surely important to support our own!!

We're all getting really tired of this Irish weather...if it's not frozen it's raining and if it's not raining it's windy...really doesn't make having horses easy! Ireland would be great, if it weren't for the weather...

We've created a new calendar on www.horseplay.ie so people can see what horsey events are going on all around Ireland! Check out www.horseplay.ie/calendar. If you're a member of riding club or want to get your local equestrian centre involved, please tell them to email us details of their events and we'll do the rest!

Hi Leslie! Did you breed your filly yourself? Any pictures of her? I've never had an ID myself, but have had some fabulous half bred ID's.
Merry Christmas to you too!
