When I went out to the barn today and grabbed my horse, i noticed she was walking really slow. When i got her inside she seemed to be favoring her back right hoof a bit. So i put her on a lounge line and asked her to trot and i noticed a slight limp. So i grabbed my hoof pick and discovered that their was a piece of wood stuck in her hoof. I pulled most of it out but their is still a little bit left in her frog sort of like a sliver. I'm not sure if thats what is causing the limp though because i also noticed she has a crack in that same hoof and i think it's been there for s little while. It's not a serious one, but i don't know what will happen if i gets worse or what to do or which or if both problems are causing this mild lameness. Any help?

Sounds like a good time to have the ferrier out to trim and check it all out. there is no way to guess on this without seeing it. And you don't want to mess with his feet when YOU can see two problems.. No feet/hooves ~~~no horse! If there is a crack in the hoof that's been there a while, it's time to have the ferrier out anyway.
thanx alot for the advice :)
I hope you will let us know how things go.
Hoping the best for you.
