I ride a 16hh, dark brown TB mare with a star named Jodie. My lesson was fun, but the arena was full of puddles! lol. I just trotted, cantered, barrle raced(only trotting around the barrels), trot poles, and small jumps.
Last Sat I had to ride a different horse because Jodie hurt her leg. I rode a flea-bitten grey arab pony mare. her name is Sarah, she is sooooooo cute, but she gets a bit grumpy and she has a funny canter.
Last night at my riding lesson I rode this horse named Pete. He's really cute, he's a pallomino grade horse. I ride him in the snaffle bit, but lots of other people ride him in the kimberwick.
He has a hollow side, and a stiff side, and it's REALLY easy to over bend him on his hollow side, which is his right. So I was having some problems, because I was trying to turn him, to the right, to get away from another horse that I was getting to close to. So when I tried, Pete went faster, I knew that I wouldn't be able to turn in time, so I said to the person in front of me, "Can you turn with Sadie" (Sadie is who that person was riding). And she didn't even make a move to turn! This really bugged me because I should be able to trust the people who are riding with me to help me out, like I help them, when we are having trouble riding a harder horse.
So, the group riding was REALLY hard, and I did terrible, but when we were doing our individual trot poll course, me and Pete did REALLY well.
So I don't know what to think of the people in my lesson. The only person who watches out for other people, and "yeilds" to them if they are having a hard time, is my friend Amanda. So, that's a bad thing that there is 4 people that I ride with, that I don't trust....
