He actually nursed like that for a bit but then he either proved he wasn't really hungry or he found that drinking uphill wasn't all it was chocked up to be and quit and went and lay down.

Lol, Betty. I saw the same thing but left before he succeeded.  He was still trying to access her udder the last I saw.

Finally he gives up and lies down. Lesson number one is learned. If you want your lunch don't kick mother in the face and otherwise mistreat her. And "No!!!She won't get up every five minutes so you can eat one swig and then go play..

Junior wants a nightcap! Mother wants to reast. He paws at her and makes a general nuisance of himself. She nips at him He kicks her in the face with his hind leg. Finally she rolls over to expose her udder and says there help yourself. Now Junior is nursing while she lies stretched out on her side. Hilarious!!!

Augh! I knew it! Lol, I was comparing her rection(what they would mean for a horse) to my own labor with my children. Knew it was early labor. What time was he born? Congrats, by the way on a beautiful baby boy.

...and now he's trying to get into the feed bucket. This little one could get himself into a whole pile of trouble.

Oh my Goodness. He's playing with his head in the water bucket!

What a live wire this one is and such beautiful markings.  Feel a little sorry for what mama is into for the next few months!
