This page is dedicated to watching the mares on Mare Stare, starting with the mini donkeys at Half Ass Acres. But be warned....it is highly addictive.

oh goody :-))) just my excellent timing as always...I checked back in last night about 5 minutes after Eve gave birth and watched for the next three hours :-)))
I mean he's been nursing all day....slip of the tongue.
Hi Katherine,
She's been nursing all day. Poor Eve hardly got any peace.
Heather, do you switch to hay instead of shavings to avoi possible allergies or for comfort or ???
I keep checking in to see the foal nursing and have yet to hit it :-(((
Of coarse I missed this one too. lol
OMG I wish I had of had one of those cameras when Ahki was born. Missed it by this --------------------- much,- maybe half an hour. She was my first mare I had ever bred and probably my last. Bummer. Still remember hearing the tiny whinny in the barn and running in to see the new one. What a awesome feeling. Something I will always remember and wish I could hear again.
Is he able to poop alright? He is keeping his tail up like he is trying to poop, but nothing comes down...
Maybe I am just not able to see.
That baby is huge! I don't know how she held him in so long. I bet she's way glad he's outa there now and she has some room for her own insides again.
Welcome to the world Tribute...what a lovely name for a frisky one...lol
