This page is dedicated to watching the mares on Mare Stare, starting with the mini donkeys at Half Ass Acres. But be warned....it is highly addictive.

I also was wondering why she wasn't outside today... since everyone is checking in on location - I am in Chapel Hill , NC, Has anyone seen the kitty cat today? I've been watching for about a week and the EVE sign has never been any more visible than it is now....
Her name is Eve, and they do that "I think" To get a full shot of her stall so we dont miss her foaling. :)
But I could be wrong, but that is what I think.
I can only see the last letter of her name, maybe the cat knocked the camera over a bit??
Sorry, forgot to say I'm turning 50 in April - and I bought my first horse 8 years ago.
I'm in Nova Scotia and we're atlantic time-- so i'm always in bed before everyone else!!!! Thats my beautiful boy in the pic-- i'm another senior citizen and i don't plan to stop riding till they plant me!!!!!!
You see what you've started here Eve? A whole group of people from all over the map chit-chatting together while we wait for you to show us your foal. How come you're not outside today?
Eve, I am off to a basketball game so hold on for a few more hours :-))
Hi Ellin
I'm in Aurora ON. I have my horse, a 17h Hanoverian, boarded in a barn 20 minutes from here and I play at Dressage, nothing serious as I just don't have the time. My pony, a small Welsh, is boarded in a barn only 5 minutes away.My grandchildren are riding the pony. I'm not much younger than you and no way is retirement from horses in my future.
The temps have risen to 16 degrees here in central Indiana with snow showers. Forty-three predicted by Wednesday. It has been a very strange, warm and wet winter.
Karen you are an inspiration to all of us who are watching the clock tick faster and faster. I'll turn 67 in April and still ride regularly as well as manage a boarding, training and breeding facility on our farm. Can't see myself retiring any time soon!
Maureen, where are you located now?
Hello All
My father is from Holland Chantal, so that makes me half Dutch. Although I don't speak the language at all, I have many relatives in Holland. I hear that your winter has been particularly hard this year. Ours has been very mild until today when is -24 with the wind chill factored. Brrrr!!!
Karen, 65 is not old. Did you see the video on the the 95 year old that is still riding? Great inspiration. You've got a long way to go. I think I'd I'd postpone the ride, it's freezing cold today.
Hi Ellin, how is the weather in IN?
We're all here waiting for you Eve. Good luck and easy delivery.
