Where else could you find people from all over the world discussing pooh with such knowledge and concern?!

That is such good news!  I'm so happy that Tilly seems on the mend.  She sure looks great and she's getting her "girlish figure" back.

About poop eating, I used to have a pet rabbit that would eat her morning poop.  Rabbits are supposed to eat their moist, morning poop to  help keep the flora of their gut going.  If they don't eat it they get sick.  THAT was sure a shock to find out tho.

Still cold here, but so much better than it was.  We had the blankets off of Snowflake for a tiny while today and we got some video of her being a bad baby LOL  She is such a sweetheart.  Will post asap.

Tilly is doing great.  Much more comfy - lots of poop and pee and she's getting wet food and soaked hay. :)  She seems happier.

no problem, i worried so much when my now 20 year old was a foal, he kept eating shed loads of poop, i asked the vets and they said it was quite normal.  thankfully he grew out of it quickly, it really was very unsociable and horrible to watch

Tilly's looking much happier now, and passing quite a bit of poop, lets hope she's fully on the mend.  they're totally captivating, cant stop watching !

its quite normal for little ones to eat the poop, its helps populate their guts with healthly bacteria, a little like probiotic yoghurt, not sure it would sell as well in the supermarkets though :-)

Is it normal for foals to eat mom's poop? Does the Vet have any idea why Tilly colicked?
