This page is dedicated to watching the mares on Mare Stare, starting with the mini donkeys at Half Ass Acres. But be warned....it is highly addictive.

I just wanted to congratulate Shannon on her excellent job as midwife! It must be something in the name (my daughter is a Shannon also).
It was terrific to see how Chantilly trusted her and followed the 'suggestions' that the pats were meant to convey!
Chantilly seems a little bit crampy as her uterus goes back into place. If she seems overly painful we will give more banamine.
It's amazing how athletic the foals are when they are so new to the world. LOL
www.marestare.com go to Live Cams. The ones with Green lights can be on (paid) the red lights are off.
There is a due date calendar that helps you find who is due and there is a forum with threads on the ones that are close.
It was quite something to see such a large baby come out of such a small mare - the kids were very impressed with the whole procedure!
She is so cute gamboling about her mum - it amazes me every time how mobile they are so soon after birth.
Well done Chantilly! (or as she is known by my two little guys - Chinchilly)
