I'm in Canada and it is snowing like crazy! My Aunt, Uncle, and Cousins are coming over later today, I will have to show them Chantilly Lace. :) I hope she foals today when they can see it. :)

Really hoping she will grace us with a daytime foal today.  There is supposed to be bad weather heading this way.  Here in SC we are not used to or prepared for ice and snow, so when we get it ..it can be very bad.

You're welcome Pat,  that baby monitor helped save a mare's life years ago, i hard her moaning so went out and found her sweating, trying to push her foal out, shoulders were out so i figured she was resting after about 5 mins she started pushing again and no progress that is when i knew something wasn't right.  The foal had two contracted back legs (freak thing) so we had to pull it out which is a no no but it was either that or mare was gonna go into shock.  We (3 of us) pulled as hard as we could and got him out.  His legs were like springs when you pulled them away from his belly, course he died in birth canal but we saved the mare, the colt wouldve had to be put down anyway b/c he wouldnt have been able to stand.. the mare produced many others after that w/no problems.  I also plan to post a blog today, you'll have to read it, amazing healing power that I'd never heard of, you won't believe it!!!

They are all Miniatures Terri.  The Miniature horse is a "height" registry. Anything 38" and under can be registered in AMHR (American Miniature Horse Registry) and anything 34" and under can be registered in AMHA (American Miniature Horse Association).  All of our horses are registered in one or all of the registries as we also have Shetlands (ASPC).  Are you confused yet?  LOL  But they are all miniatures if that's what you are asking.

I do co-own an Arabian mare with Steph at Elements Arabians.  Her cams are up alos and our mare will be due soon.  We have alot of cams up online right now.  And Mare Stare had over 1200 live births in 2010.

She has been waxed for a few days now Jan and she is dripping milk.  All tests say go - her body says go - she says, "I don't think I will. "  LOL

Hi - great viewing thank you. Can you tell us how her milk is looking? Has she waxed up yet?
