I am watching Calypso. So cute.

And I am very sorry to hear about Kenya, she was so pretty. But she is not in a better place without pain or sickness. She will be forever in our hearts! Big hugs for Dancer..

We believe Calypso is in early labor - her temperature has dropped and she's panting.
She's on cam #3 - http://www.marestare.com/fcam.php?alias=mrun3 Puppies!!!!

Oh Shannon I'm so very sorry I know how special Dancer is to you ,so naturally her foal would be just as special. T he only comfort you can get from this is knowing she is not suffering anymore, she felt all the love and care you gave her,and you did everything you could have done to make her well.Thank God you still have little Dancer, who even for a short time gave you another little piece of her to love.

Hugs and hugs and hugs

Really sorry to hear that guys, but you know you and your vet did all you could and you gave her your best shot and loads of Love. Like you say, it just wasnt meant to be. Very sad.

I am so sorry to hear that it is devistating my thoughts and prayers go out to you guys. Its like loosing a child I watched her birth. I hope Dancer will be okay.

It is with an extremely heavy heart that I report that Kenya has passed away. Shannon called me toinght to tell me they were having issues keeping her temperature down and the next step was the hospital in Georgia. Shannon and our vet were talking on the computer when Kenya started acting painful, stood up, walked across the stall and collapsed. By the time Shannon got to the stall she was gone. A necropsy will be done to see what was going on.

It took us three years to get Dancer in foal. Then she had Placentitis - went overdue on her gestation - Kenya was colicky and impacted after her birth, then the constant temperature..you have to wonder if it was meant to be. Through her tears Shannon said, "I wouldn't have given up my time with her for anything."

Kenya is in a better place now and it's Dancer and Shannon that are in need of prayers. Any you can spare will be appreciated.

Cam #2 will remain off until Dancer has had adequate time to grieve.

thats good to hear. hope the results are good on the injections she's a fighter she will pull through. And you have a good vet there with you guys thumbs up to her. Through the foaling season the vet must not get much rest. You all take care and i'm pulling for a full recovery for kenya
