Andrea, I have 5 grand daughters, ages 7-18 yrs. All but one horse crazy. My 18 month old grand son is seriously horse nutz. I think his first word was Mag Mag, for my mare Maggie. He waves goodbye to her when they leave. He gives her hay one strand at a time, lol. He has sat on her with my son holding him up. It is funny he is attatched to Mags, and not so much to our grey beauty, Cloud. my tiny 7 yr old, Gracie loves Cloud, they have that special bond. Even tho Cloud is green, she is gentle and nonspooky. Gracie rides her very well, bareback and with the PonyBoy bitless. She will walk, whoa, back, and turn all very easily for her. The girls all clean manure, brush horses, and pick out hooves, give carrots, etc. Two of them are going to man our table at a huge tack sale this Saturday, with me. We have tons of horsey fun together. Yes, I ride. I enjoy trail riding in the forests and hills of Northern California. I also do gymkhana, and team sorting. We have two mares, one a Morgan, 8 yrs and one a Pinto Sporthorse, 7 yrs. I am in love with my life and family.

This is a great idea for a group.
I have a three year old son who has recently shown an interest in riding too (just like mummy)
I havent started him yet as my mount is NOT the one to try out.
