Sara S: aww shes pretty :) and she does kind of look little Louie :)
Candace: thats cool to think that Louie has a taller twin!

louie is registered as a Falabella and a Miniature Horse, and it says hes Arab type on his papers. There are 4 types of Minis: Quarter Horse type, Thoroughbred type, Arab type, and Draft type (all depending on their breeding from over 100 yrs ago). i think Louie is definately of QH breeding over 100 years back when the breed was being born! :)

Oh wow hes very cute! I two own a grey paint mare but on her Dams side its all QH. I could get her registered with the AQHA but dont have the extra money to spend on that nor the stallion breeding reports and such. But my bay QH mare looks kind of like your little man. she just jas a snip and she has one little white sock.

i dont own a quarter horse but i love them! i am always researching and following both halter and performance bloodlines as well as stallion stallion standing with the AQHA. i do own a solid grey APHA paint mare whose grand parents (top and bottom) are quarter horses. i have attached here a picture of my little 34" Falabella gelding Louie who looks like a quarter horse in miniature size with his expression and big rounded hips (i just thought it looked kinda cool)

Congratulations Candace. It is nice to see Q-horses excell in different categories of competition. They truly are versatile!

Thanks for Starting this group. I have 3 quarter horses, okay, two are my mom's but one is pretty much mine. My mom's are Boston Blue Eyes (aka Roxie) and, I think i got the name right, Pepnics' Doc Major ( aka Jazz)
The Quarter Horse I'm riding is CL Macintosh out of Boston Mac. He is part Thoroughbred but is mostly Quarter Horse.
I do a lot with him even though he will be 6 in July. I show him and trail ride. This year I have 'upgraded' to him from my other horse so I am hoping to starrt him on Reining, Cattle work, Gymkhana and ever thing else while still showing him full time during the June to September season.
He gets bored very easily so he needs a wide variety of things to do.

we came from down between London and Chatham, but I have family closer to this area and it is handier to visit everyone. I only brought 3 horses with me...all quarters of course. I guess that means I now have 3/4 of a horse.

Hi Patricia,
We are about 45 min north of you. My wife had a friend that lived in Mildmay for about a year and really liked it there. Where did you move from? We have been up here for 5 years now, originally from Burlington.
