The Vivian Forest I am familiar with, maybe I can find somewhere to park the rig for an afternoon ride, not sure where you can find a B&B what about a motel or something...how are you getting your horse there, can the hauler not ride with you and take you back home, you did say there were two of you...am I confused or have I forgotten something.

I ride near the Vivian Forest and also all of the Durham Forest . would that be any better for you? If you can find me a b and b, let me know as that could work, Gail.

Well, my ancestors, 3 generations ago came over from the Isle of Skye in mid 1800, there is a generation gap there because of mid life marriages. They cleared the land where I live now, I bought the farm from my brother many years ago. I still have my one favourite Appy that I used as a trail horse all over N. America, he is now 31 then I have two TWH that I use as trail horses. Retireing at the age of 49 has allowed lots of time and years in the saddle and on the trail. Luckily good health has followed me around too, that makes a big difference being able to keep these horses and look after them with out help .

I live in England and used to live in the Western Isles of Scotland.
I still ride and have a 25 year old Arab mare and a 5 year old Appaloosa. Over the last couple of years my health hasn't been as good as it was but my horses have kept me going and made everything worth while every day. I would be pleased to hear more about where you all live and what you do.

Sorry Gail, yes I do remember you saying that you could get up to the Ganni. Yes two is a good group. I am the same with bug numbers, not all that fond of riding with big bunches. BTDT lol Where is a nice nearby place that you like to ride in Gail, maybe I could just drive up there for an afternoon ride with you on my way to some other area. This seems to be getting to very complicated, just for a couple of hour ride lol But we will see what we can do

Not really close to Shelburne . I am more east than that. North of Oshawa or Whitby. Remember, I mentioned the Sandaraska. Any how at least we now have a group. I think 2 works for a group. Or, it does now! Gail
