well i have loved horses ever since i was 5 (my first sighting of "The Saddle Club") i rode, not even once every year up untill i got my first horse, Sky (in the picture), when i was 12 and just got another horse (ex pacer 20yo), Onyx. at the moment i am training my horses to be fit enough for trail riding. None of my family is horsey, but my dad is getting there... he still prefers motobikes though (grrrr)

Hi Andrea! Thanks for asking about the concert. We had an absolute blast! The place was sold out!! The one-hour set without a PA or lights presented its challenges, but musicians and audience got into the spirit of the evening and it went very well. We did a second set with a sound system and the lights back on and I must say it was a bit of a relief. The poor ol' vocal chords might have given out on me otherwise. All in all, it was a very enjoyable evening, and very thoughtful of you to ask. I hope you'll be able to come and hear us some time. Cheerz! Dorothy :-)
  • carmen griscti

  • Nicole

hi i was wondering how long have you been training this horse?
  • Gloria Leverett

Hi Andrea. You look great on your horse and very smart too. What level is your horse?
  • TankDiveGirl

    Hey Thanks!

I'm trying not to make it too "doom and gloom" but SO much bad stuff has happened this year, and I think that people who aren't a part of the equestrian community need to know about it as well... .So that's why I put it up there. I have lots of friends at school who have no idea about the horse thing at all, but they read my blog and are now getting interested in helping promote change.

    Thanks!

    Hi Andrea!

What a nice surprise to hear from you! My advise for your first Grand Prix is don't rush your test. Take your time with the transitions, the preparations on the short sides, and very importantly, strive to make everything BEAUTIFUL. Dressage is art after all.

    Good luck!

    Sheryl

    A,
What a nice horse you have. You look very pro on him to.
I wish I was training GP! That is so great for a young rider.

  • Steph_S

    Haha, thx!
My horse is used to my strange behaving (from time to time). And I'm used to hers. ;-)

    Hi,

Working with Jan was very interesting. Was feeling so lucky to see him riding everyday and to be corrected in my riding. The stable and the place are just unbelievable, he is a very funny and friendly person with a lot of patience and he likes to transmit. He never put me down even when I was riding really bad. He is really good at giving expression to the horses. I was one of the lucky ones to ride one of his other Grand Prix horse everytime is was away and he gave me a lot of Grand Prix horses for sale to ride so it was fantastic because usually when you work in this kind of stable you just ride the young horses.

There are so many things to say! Kyra Kyrklund was coming there every month to give training sessions, all the stallion part was great to learn how he takes care of their "image" and career, so I learnt a lot about management too and how to deal with the "public relation" part...

It is amazing how he is popular in Sweden, he is treated like a popstar.

He was sharing a lot of his experience with me and gave quite a lot of advices for my career so the experience was really great. Actually, the more difficult was to be the only guy working with 6 girls, it was sometimes a little bit "electric" between them...

Hope I responded to your question, feel free to ask more. You look great and very professionnal on your horses, good luck for the GP, the videos of Stacy Westfall are just superb.

    Best regards,

    Pierre.

    Hi,
Thanks for your comment. Well I work for a large traning organization as one of the assistant trainers. I ride all kinds of horses at different levels from braking 3 yr olds to ones that do GP. This year I am showing one at 3/4 level and 3 at T/1st.

    hey,
yeah elektra sold to a jr in the states, thats my new guy, hes so much fun, how are you? hows riding going?
  • Pierre Beaupère

    Hi.

About the answer, I responded as I would expect someone to respond if I was asking. I never had money to pay for training so it's also my way to thank the people who have been helping me to ride better. And thanks to him I also had the opportunity to give clinics in Sweden every month.

    Regards,

    Pierre.

    Hi!
  • Petra Boeske

    Hello Andrea !
I`m sorry that I`m answering so late, I`m just to buisy the last days. I`m original from the Hannoverian, but the Oldenburger are so clever that they are using the best bloodlines ! Thats why they have so many good horses !
In my area ( Mühlen ) we have the best stallions ( Paul Schockemöhle ), so here are a lot of very good horses !
What breeding have bin your Oldenburgers ?
