Ms. Peer-Kozak, I was formerly "Daniels". My father changed his name from Danielovitch--yes pure Ukrainian. In the 30's amd 40's foreigners had a hard time getting jobs so many changed their names --I should have been Lorraine Danielovitch-MacDonald. What do you think? L
Oh, I dunno. Lorraine DanielovitchhyphenMacdonald has a certain, uh, ring to it! We have come far in terms of tolerance. Anyway, I don't use the hyphen: it's too hoity toity. But I like names that carry something forward from the past, the way men sometimes are called by their mothers' maiden names: Taylor Caldwell, Hunter Thompson, etc. Cool.
