Thanks for explaining, I have no idea if other pony clubs do this, but it's a GREAT idea! IT is really something different for the horses and probably if they can do this, they won't be afraid of anything! Do you know who supplies those balls? I would like to get one!

Riding in the snow is really fun if the snow is light, but sometimes the snow is really heavy and "wet" and it forms into giant snowballs in your horse's feet! Our horses all wear rubber snow rings which are pieces of u-shaped rubber that follow along the inside of their shoes to prevent this and they have studs on their shoes to stop them from slipping. Also, sometimes it's freezing here (Canada)!! Right now we are heading into summer and it's been sunny and beautiful.
