Hey Amber,

On the weekend i went down to geoff's place with Pippi Lover(Tayla) and she rode Dusty and nick rode Peace, and we went out to the jumping course and jumped. hehe. Tayla and Nick swaped ponies. Tayla rode Peace and Nick rode Dusty. Tayla jumped 50cm straight. and a 30cm straight, so not at her record. lol. when it was my turn to jump i jumped a new record! 90cm!

Hi Amber,
Yeah we went well really at the Maccy show.
The 60cm was just a practise.
We came 5th in the 75cm out of about 65+ people after a really nice clear round. So i was really happy with that.
For the 90cm when we were waiting in the ring for the person to finsh their round the pairs over hurdles came galloping past, so Meco got really reved up and upset at that then a huge green tractor came to remove the Hunter over Hurdles jumps for a tent pegging demo just as i started my round. We knocked 2 rails and that put us out of contention for anything big. I was so fustrated cause i was the only person that got the tractor on their turn. And caue as soon as i saw the tractor i lost it. I wasnt thinking straight. But we got round the rest of the course and the rest was great! Like just FLYING over the blue and white spread.
The courses were fantastic! Really good. Challenging but smooth.
I learnt alot from that day. (Like to get Meco accustomed to tractors is a good idea!) But also if Meco gets reved up -like he did- leave the ring, go back to the warm up arena and remind him of what we are there to do...jump.

Hey amber,
love the new pictures! The 1st and 2nd ones are prob my fave, #8 is classic, #9 is nice too. #14 gives the impression of a nice neck muscle-the mane- #15 is good, looking a bit "ducky" though. lol.
I wish it was a bit cooler for the 1st week back at school! (actually i wish we didnt have to go back to school!) haha

Its a good 30mins for us to (to Goolwa Pony Club) Its worth it though. The instructors are really good! Even if you just come and watch one day....

What group are you in at riding club???
Have a look at pictures 11-14 on my page... You can wear the VHHS jumpers and just pin a badge on over the top and the shirt colour is a bluey stripy type thing lol. They are hard to find though... just wear a neat and tidy uniform. (like you Victor Riding Club one) Have you called up either Chris Reedy or Di Keach yet??? They will tell you what to do, when to come, what to wear etc...
I dont think Meco will be ready for the Feb ralley though so i will probably have to bring along a pony! (again) lol

Just had Beven out today and he put a pad on meco's foot. Turns out that lots of the area around the frog had absused. (sp?) I think thats what mum said... Anyway he said Meco should be right to ride in about 3 days so hopefully i can got to the Freshmans day!!!

Sounds about right, Di is a fantastic teacher/instructor. Geoff lets you get away with things alot. He's fun heaps of fun but Di is very correct. :) maybe you just felt like she was picking on you cause you are used to doing things differntly with geoff. Give Di a chance. ( I feel that way ALL the time when mum's teaching me!) lol.
Yep i think i am going to freshmans!!!! Meco is doing HEAPS better, no sign of lameness at all! I am wrapped!

With the release thing Di is talking about, just looking at some of the photos (above) your hands are behind your shoulders a bit in most... (not trying to pick on you, just backing Di up, lol) I know its something that mum never let me do because she always MADE me ride with a neckstrap, it helps (if fitted correctly). (hope that helps)

You should have a go with our camera! No delay!!! I want a camera where you can take multipiple pictures in a second (for good action shots, AKA, showjumping, horse events!) lol.
