Hi Nicole! I love the picture of Midnight and Max..... very nice! (I probably like it so much because I took it.... lol!!)

Skitter and the mare (Kenzie) do enjoy the arena. It's good for them to get out of that pen and have the ability to stretch. Especially for Skitter seeing how he was gelded on the weekend. It is important for him to walk around.

He took the gelding as good as could be expected, however, since Serena moved Midnight back into the other field all by himself, leaving her girls in the field near Skitter's pen, we have not been able to take Skitter to the Arena to stretch out at all, so he is Really Swollen! It is so very unfair for Skitter to have to be penned up so much, but we do not want to take the chances of having him mount one of Serena's mares, so we have little to no choice in the matter. With that all said, we have not had much chance to socialize Midnight and Skitter. Perhaps this weekend we will take Skitter into the pasture with Midnight, and let them get to know one another. (Or the Arena. But.... if we take them to the Arena we will need you up there too to bring Midnight as I will take Kenzie, Victor will take Skitter, and you would have to take Midnight.)

Nicole, you probably know more than we do as to why Serena moved the horses apart.
As for Midnight being alone, don't worry. He won't be alone to long. Just 5 more weeks till we can move Skitter and Kenzie in with him. Then one of my friends is going to be moving her horse in with them too, so there will be no lack of friends for your boy to be with. I just hope they all get along! (But, I know they will establish their own pecking order in no time at all.)
