I have been working with horses for most of my life. I am an equine massage therapist and have been practicing for 10 years now, having graduated from a 2 year intensive equine massage therapy diploma program. I also acheived an Honors degree in Biology. I recently relocated to Kitchener and have relaunch my business (McMaster Massage) in this region.
Hi Sharon,
Yes, either we ran short of time or I ran long on talking!! I did want to get into how to use the Internet as a networking tool, parallel to your efforts in the bricks and mortar world. I also wanted to talk about simple ways to create and support your own individual brand, but I think I would have needed a whole extra hour for that!
Hi Sharon,
Yes the session did deal more with "creating yourself" in terms of discovering how we all have individual strengths that open doors of business opportunity. And, of course, the group discussion hopefully led people to
1. Realize how painless networking can be. 2. Help people think laterally and creatively about how they can build their businesses.
Now that you are a Barnmice member, play with ways to network on line. As a little exercise, I would suggest that you find ways to participate in the community, adding your voice as an equine massage therapist. You can comment on members' photos that you like, join the OEF and other groups that interest you, add a blog post or comment on others, add some photos and videos, start discussions and participate in discussions that are already underway. In other words, put yourself out there and let people get to know you!
Hi there, I love your profile! I find all of this kind of stuff very very interesting, and I think more people should add this in their daily routine when they handle their horses. Anyway, I just wanted to drop that in! Thanks for your information, Have a great day!
Hi there,
Thanks for your comment. Would love to keep in touch, I'm very intruiged with any for of natural healing, massage etc. And am learning every day. I was wondering, have you heard of Micro current treatment?? I have seen and learned about that from closeby, and I'm absolutely amazed with the results that I have seen. I was just curious if you have heard of it, or if you use it yourself in your treatments.
