A Bit About Me and my Horse(s): I live in Stratford, Ontario Canada. I love to ride and at the moment I am training in Dressage. We have 2 horses: Alcaponie and Mimi. I have 3 sisters. Two of my sisters ride and the other one likes to swim and is training to be a lifeguard.
I love to event my pony and do dressage with him!Alcaponie is the bomb,I couldn't ask for a better pony! ♥♥

Do you have any pets?: 2 greyhounds, a golden retriever, 7 cats, 5 fish tanks, and 1 Lop-eared Bunny!

haha ooooh sounds pretty! i have a haflinger mixed with...welll pony i guess haha! do you do any like showing (other than like the dressage i see) like jumping or like x-country (minnie trials) with any of your horses?

Halle...sounds like you and your sister had fun on the hack.Poor Alcaponie...thought that nasty woodpecker would get him,lol!Aren't horses great?They are afraid of the silliest things.Dose your sister ride Mimi?I had a nice ride on Risky and also too Dream the horse i am training at present along.He enjoyed the outting.Talk to you later:)

I still want 2 try Mo on a hack.
I'm planning on taking him 2 the beach.
I don't know how well he will behave 'cos he's never been on the beach, being a race horse and all.
No, I don't have Mowgli yet 'cos the people that have him now r on holiday, but I basically just have 2 fill in the papers!

Hi Halle, thanks for welcoming me to barnmice.Isn't it so cool that we can share our love of horses with people all over the world. I love the photos.Both my son and i ride. Shayle has a 15.3hh thoroughbred called coutts. They event and go to pony club. I have a paint 4 yr old called shelby,
i show him inhand and have started him under saddle, he is my baby as i have had him since he was 4 months old.He is a nice boy but has alot of growing up to do so we are taking things slowly. I look forward to hearing what your up to!

Halle....hope you and the ponies are well? I don't riding in the rain either,but the training part we do in the arena,as it is too wet,muddy and slippy now to train outside.The grass is sure greening up nice,which the ponies will love!!!!!!! Happy Ridin...Connie

Hey,
I rode Mo 2day and I jumped. He was terrific! I've formed a very strong bond with him already, my mom tried him on a hack once, but he was spooking at tires and horse -boxes, but when I rode him, I got him to go past a moving tractor! I was soooooo happy and now I'm even more confident for the beach outride!

Hey Halle....Risky is great thanks!She sends nickers for your Alcaponie and Mimi!The weather has cleared and is nice again.I had a day off from work,but to-morrow its' back to the farm and work.If I get done early enough and the weather is nice i will ride risky before coming home for the day.Take care and have a good Sunday with the ponies! :)

Thanks so much! If you visit my First Draught Farm website, the artist's work (Jennifer MacNeil-Traylor) is all over it. She's awesome. She did all my stall signs and this just happens to be the art on the one for my Shire/TB, Pippy.

She's now been recognized by the Trail of Painted Ponies group and she will have pieces in production in 2010 -- Her links are under every piece on the site, as well as on my blog. I'll tell her she's got another fan down here in GA! -k

It turns out my riding teacher took him in in the beginning but didn't pay 4 him 'cos she wasn't sure about his leg... but now there's even more hope because it means she thinks his leg is healed!

That's fine! Love ur new pic! I rode Mo 2day! My riding teacher got the vet 2 check his leg and he says it is fine but he can't give the certificate 2 say that Mo is a fully recovered horse! :( Oh well! His tendon apparently snapped right through, so he made an amazing recovery and I'm amazed that he can actually still jump, let alone be ridden! I might half lease Mo instead of having him completely because my riding teacher doesn't want me to get a horse that might not always be ridable! She is looking out for other horses incase I would like to try another 1 out. But I still want Mo... so far. I wish he wasn't lame though! I'll try and take the videos of me riding this Monday (if I ride him)!

That's fine. Thanx Halle and Mo is doing fine! I might go look at another horse tomorrow. His name is Rusty! He's not so much a family horse but calm for a thoroughbred, like Mowgli! He does x country and show jumping (not so sure about dressage though!) So that means if I get him I can finally try hunting! Aslong as he and I can form a bond like me and Mo did! It might not be as fast though but he won't swerve jumps at least! Wish me luck! I'll be glad but sad at the same time! U could probably guess why!
