No - lurcher is a lurcher. And she doesn't jump. She runs.Fast.And hence is called Wizz. Pictured (left!) is Charley my horse who I had to let go recently along with my chooks and lurcher number two. (no time) Boo hoo. Vanada,eh? Lucky
It's a baby turtle that was one of many my family and I encountered at a turtle nursery in Mexico. They grow up to be giants. By the Way, my wife, (through whom I met Anna B.) is here with me and neither of us has any clue what lurchers or chooks are!
Hi Gary, I must say that I have never regretted or looked back since I left TD. I have travelled to many amazing places-last Fall S, Africa, Brazil, Uraguay, Chile, Mexico, Costa Rica. This year India, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore. It has been an amazing time in my life. We love Terra Cotta and our lazy life there. On the farm - 2 dogs and 3 retired horses
Hi Gary!
Thanks for your comment re: my "Thought of the day." I'm glad you enjoy reading them. I really enjoy your "Just a Horse" compilation. Very creative and poignant. Congrats! Cheerz! Dorothy :-)
Yes, that eclipse was quite the show, and such a perfect view with the clear winter sky. I wish I'd had a telescope handy, or one of those super-sensitive cameras that takes spectacular shots of the heavens. If nothing else, I have the memory of it -- and how cold it was (brrrr) -- to look back on. Cheerz! Dorothy :-)
Under your "picture" it says: "Change My Photo". Click on that and one of items is "Your Photo". Click on the active box beside it and browse for a picture on your computer. You'll have lots of good pics to choose from I bet. Make it a family one.
Hello Gary. Thank you for the compliment on my minis. The miniature horses is actually a height registry. There are two well know registries - one is AMHA which allows horses up to 34" at the last mane hair (just changed that rule) and the AMHR which accepts miniatures up to 38" in height - again, at the last mane hair.
If they grow over 38" they are no longer considered a miniature.
Hi Gary. Yes we have met, I hope we meet again. It was an amazing experience. Over 60,000 people in this enormous stadium about 10.30 at night, including what seemed like thousands standing only. People jumped to their feet, cheering. The video does not do the experience justice, the mare had so much charisma it gave you chills. I think Anky still won, I can't remember, and I was told she was technically better, but I loved the mare. Unfortunately she has been injured since I think. Probably too young to go so far, only 9.
Bye, Karen
Mexico has a program of repopulating turtles so they hatch them, grow them a bit and then let them go at night when the birds won't see them. We assisted one night and it was quite interesting to see them scamper to the water. Their chance of living goes from nil to 50%!

Hi Gary, Rodrigo said that the horse had been in contact accidently with the substance ie ice machine used by a horse that was using the banned substance on its legs, contamination via the groom that was using a cream on a shoulder containing the banned substance and also that the banned substance must have been in some fly repealent... This is a very small resume of the video. Stephanie
I couldn't believe what I was reading about Eddie. He sounds like a horse
with 9 lives like a cat. He must be special and have many things to teach
us humans. He is a true survivor. Such joy to hear such a wonderful ending for an animal. I know how I would have felt if it had been my horse.
As I love her more them I can explain in all we have been through together. Take good care of Eddie he has many more adventures.

Assuming that they are ridden, do they have competitions for them? Going from A to C might take them a while. :)
