Hi Vickie: Would you perhaps remember the stallions which you say at Fritz Floto's
farm. I have not seen much mention about one of his stallions named "Wilfinschotzs" Or does anyone know about this question! My mare came
from his farm and she is awesome like all Hanoverians!!! teehee
  • Aimee Coslovich

I too have a mare that is out of Fritz Floto's stallion Welfenschatz. I am looking for more info on him as well but it seems there isn't anything on the internet... I just love my mare and would like to learn more about her sire. Anyone with info out there? Pics? Do they all have big ears or what? What was your connection to Fritz's farm?
He had another stallion named Lepanto as well.

Thanks, Vickie!! Have a great day....

Did you ever come to Campbellville, Do you know where in Campbellville? Are you in New Zeland?
  • Liz Keane

Vickie, don't let them get to you, rise about it, they'er all over the world! Most people don't listen until their horse has enough and breaks their jaw & this owner was on the ground! She asked me what I thought of her horse, I said I'd shot it. Now it in foal and it will teach its bad manners on to its offspring and the wheel go's round! Happy New Year. Talk soon. Liz
  • Geoffrey Pannell

Hi Vickie, Don't be put off this site by a couple of tossers!! There are more nice people than those couple of idiots that have been giving all of us grief. That Alan Buck is a capital T tosser!! I've had a couple of run in's with him also, the man thinks he knows it all, yet he wont post a single pic of himself riding or one of his pupils (if he has any). He's all talk, and the moment you disagee he gets nasty. Life is too short to be bothered with the likes of people like that.

You have some valuable life experiences that are good to be shared on a site like this with like minded people. I've been on this site for a while now and the good far outweight the bad. So, stick around.

    Cheers Geoffrey

Glad you've made friends with Geoffrey Pannell. The Good have to stick together! I'm back riding George my Irish Draught. Ireland not used to artic weather . He is my comfort blanket. Even 20 mims in the rain today is special! Me!
  • Liz Keane

Yes! Is he not lovely. Don't tell the younger riders as we get older so do our horses get fatter! LOL. Just read latest Your Horse Mag. Mary King one of UK old time great event riders said " Thank God, she turned out her event horses for winter fun, they have the fun & Mary & her daughter have to ferry water out to the world class horses" just like me! That gives me heart. Weather wise, whole world has gone mad! Hang in there Vickie. My lorry off road so can't go anywhere, my hubby in for it! I'll fix it! Men LOL. Most show cancelled in fairness to him, bless he does his best, Ireland cannot cope with this kind of weather.Had to cancel lessons today as our arena frozen again. Forcast not great untill after next weekend. Me X

My retired horse, Donnie, is a Donnerhall son.  His mother is a Raphael daughter, Raphaela Girl.

I can't begin to tell you how much joy that wonderful horse has brought  into my life! I did everything with him and had him for 8 and a half years and he was sound for the whole time, but then a few months ago, he developed a sharp lameness. I almost had a heart attack. He has something very unusual - a bone cyst in his elbow.

Anyway, I could have ridden him on "maintenance" but he deserved much more.

I gave him to my friend Helen (she's on here too). She has a farm where she and her husband and daughter live, and they have seven horses, including Donnie. She and her daughter ride him occasionally and the rest of the time he is outside most of the day with his friend Rascal, or in his double sized stall.

He is so good that the daughter, who is 12 and TINY, can just hop on him any time and go around. Helen rides him a bit too, so he has a bit of everything. What a GOOD BOY he is!!

I now have a new horse named Caspari. Very different than Donnie, but still that phenomenal temperament that I can't live without.  I am very lucky to have found another good boy.

    What about you?

  • Sandra Ammonn

Ahhh this is how I respond! Thanks Vicki we had lots of fun, nerve racking but fun. You never know what to expect from these young horses:) All 3 were great!

    Hello Barb

My name is Gary Glaser and I am the mounted commander of the 9th New York Cavalry. We are located in the Niagara, Hamilton area but have members across Southern Ontario. Our members are both mounted and diss-mounted troopers. The Ninth New York Cavalry has been reactivated by a group of living historians and civil war enthusiasts interested in the portrayal of the life of the Federal Horse Soldier. As a group, we participate in living history encampments, re-enactments, and giving informative lectures throughout the year in both Ontario and the U.S.

To see more of what we do as a hobby please go to these two You tub site, this first one is a large  event that unfortunately none of our members were participating in  but do know most of the riders- it was held in Gettysburg, PA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PBCgFdTWLx4

This next one is a small event held in Canada at Upper Canada village, all riders are members of the 9th NY Cavalry and you will notice that I ride a Stander bred cross: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BCx3Xkn9Wuc

If you have any question please do not hesitate to ask. This hobby is family friendly, and a great way to spend a weekend with you horse.

    Thank You

    Gary Glaser
