Hi! I'm Maria, I'm fourteen, and I've been riding for almost nine years. I own my third horse. He's a 15.2hh eight year old pinto Quarter Horse cross named Sequence. He came to me knowing nothing and I've taught him everything. We're schooling 3'6'' courses and second level dressage. I hope to make a name out of myself in this sport!
I am an old-fashioned Forward Seat rider. I can't jump due to my MS, but I LOVE seeing a horse being allowed full range over a jump.
Later this month I'm going for my yearly lesson at North Fork School of Equitation in Jefferson, Md., nearby to Frederick. It is my old alma mater back when it had a residential program in Pucellville, Va., and North Fork was where I switched permanently to the Forward Seat. I did not know I had MS back then, and I could not jump well at all but I learned what good jumping is. I'm still riding Forward today even though with my MS I can only walk & trot because of exhaustion. I wish I could jump!

I enjoyed your pictures. You look like a decent rider. I particularly like how you give the horse enough rein over the fences, good, good, good!!!!
