Always intersted to learn more. Shared experiences and enlightenment through knowledge is easier in these days of internet.
I have always ridden, have Team Chased, Hunt Raced, Show Jumped, but even as a child, often too lazy to put tack on my horses, so looking for "The Black Stallion" relationship, just friendship and positive care for my horses.
The AND forum seems to be the one most in alignment with my personal views. I came to barefoot because of a laminitic pony a decade ago, which led vis links to bitless and now aim for cordeo or less.
Just trust and a happy horse who invites me.
Itismore about what the horse is willing to offer than what I might wish the result to be. So always more to learn. Even if I wished it, training methods which suited my body 40 years ago may need much adaptation to achieve today, so change is good, stasis not an option, and both owners and horses are the beneficiaries.

Hi Susie, Yes, horses are truly beautiful and amazing animals..well all animals are amazing :) I really enjoy helping them and learning more about them every day. I am also glad that people are starting to open up to the alternative therapies and kinder methods of training etc.
I was also toying with the idea of taking a barefoot farrier course...mostly for my own kids, but I just love learning new things, so I just find it very interesting and a bit of a challenge too...how long have you actually been doing barefoot trimming? Do you do it professionally? Europe is so much more advanced in terms of natural therapies etc...I love finding new web sites and courses..and they are mostly in England and Australia! I need my own plane to travel back and forth! lol
