Great idea, Julia. One of the things I've wanted to do is add lots of Western riders to our community, to bring people together from every background.

There is currently a Western Riders group here, and I believe we have a little reining group. Please spread the word - the more the merrier!

Hi Julia! Thanks for accepting me! Happy New Year to You!
I have not had any rides on Cooper since my friend got on him that one time. Training has practically stopped for now until the spring and when we have more daylight through the work week in the evenings. I have to do more work with him to get better ground manners, despooking, so he is nice and calm for me. I was almost at the point to getting on him myself and then I moved him. No indoor arena now and I have a hard time getting around in the snow outside with my prosthesis. I have had to cut riding lessons to once a week from two times a week and I am really feeling it in my muscles and body. There are not many barns that offer western lessons in my area. I have not been riding for 4 weeks now because of my leg and xmas holidays. I hope things pick up soon and I get back into the swing, with riding and Cooper. I want to continue with natural training and have used this time off to watch my dvd's. I hope to be riding him this spring or summer, walking around the round pen and outdoor arena. I was even thinking of trying to go outside in the deep snow and get on him, if I can get this leg right. I'm not very athletic and if I fall it will be a softer landing, and of course I will wear a helmet.
You have such beautiful horses, so well trained. I love your videos and photos! Your website is great and I have subscribed to your youtube page.Delete Comment
