    So sorry about your injuries not being treated right. 

    I sometimes have problems gripping with my mounting hand also.  If I wear gloves there is no way I can mount even from a mounting block.  My hands just slip off the mane.

    It is wonderful that you have a good cooperative TB.  Great horses!  The first horse I rode solo when I started riding again was a TB mare.  She worked with me.
