    Hey Val,
How ya doin'? I just joined Barnmice. It's a great site. I have already met another member. I talked to her about finding a pony for Emma and she suggested I post a discussion on forum so let's hope someone out there who has an out-grown pony finds me.

    Hi, Valerie!

I read your post about injuries and riding issues. I am 52, an equine industry professional, and I was having so much difficulty with my back (specifically my SI joint) last year that I thought I would have to give up dressage and live on anti-inflammatories. I turned to Heather Sansom, of EquiFitt, and she gave me a series of exercises and stretches (all done by e-mail and over the phone) which have completely resolved my problems. I also am very short (5'2") and I ride big horses, all WB's, most of them 16.2 and over. I also broke my back in my late teens, and have scoliosis, ;which exacerbated everything else. Heather's exercises/stretches are not at all what I would have thought I needed, but she was very definitely correct, and I am riding without pain again! You can contact Heather via this site - she has a very helpful blog.
