A lifetime with horses! Started riding at age 3, which is 40+ years ago now. Have a few dents to show for it...oh well, there is nothing like the good the outside of a horse can do for the inside of a person. Have worked as equine vet assistant, really enjoy large animal medicine, groomed at racetracks, done some (uncertified) coaching with kids-that was a lot of fun and very inspiring. Did some breeding of warmbloods, quarter horses and thoroughbreds, but due to economic times and the situation with unwanted horses, have gotten away from that interest. Have owned and shown my own and client horses in many different disciplines, but now prefer to ride in the backcountry (very peaceful). Spent a couple of summers in the back country working for guide/outfitters in northern British Columbia. After all these years with horses it never fails to amaze me how little I know and how much there is yet to learn. Horses are always an adventure (and a passion).
Glad to hear you are getting back into action after nurseing a bumm shoulder. Hope all goes well and don't be being too silly while your shoulder completes it's recovery.
