A Bit About Me and my Horse(s)

"I believe that the welfare of the horse and training horses in the most ethical way possible has to be our goal. If it is not we have to ask ourselves, is it right to continue??"

I am a coach and trainer specialising in "Equine Learning Theory" a scientific approach to horse training. This system has been widely used in breaking and training horses since the year dot by good trainers. The system was publicised by Dr.Andrew Mclean PhD who wrote his thesis on "The mental Processes of the horse and their consequences for training".

Similar systems are used by top riders and trainers including Emma Hindle (D), Kyra Kyrklund (D) and Susan Kjaergard (SJ). If you would like to learn more about the system see my blog or www.aebc.com.au

I worked for Andrews brother Jonathan a master in the system! Who was involved in its development. I also trained with Andrew and his wife Manuela.

This system has become a massive part of my life and along with my extensive training with Brennanstown Riding School, Ingestre Stables (Rob Lovatt FBHS ABRSPD & Tim Downes FBHS ABRSPD) and William Micklem FBHS. I have developed my own way combining the best parts of each way of training!
