Thanks Erica, your Cooper is gorgeous too!! What a beautiful face! I want to ride western but don't have my own saddle yet. The english saddle is on loan just to get him used to it. I don't know when I should purchase a western saddle since he is still growing and I will need to get help fitting one to him (and me). Right now I am thinking I probably won't ride him for another year, wait until he is 4, but do lots and lots of groundwork, mostly natural.

Hi Erica, sorry for the late response. I was away for a few days. I agree with you, that groundwork makes a big difference. I have been trying to do bending with Cooper and he keeps backing up, eventually he will get it. I want to do some more tarp work with him. I also have to get another ball, mine got broken.
