I was born in Dallas, Texas, but now I live in Indiana on 24 acres with my husband, Mike; my horses, VS Golden Desperado, aka Indy, a 10 year old Morgan gelding that I've had since he was coming 4; Ami, a 17 year old Quarter Horse/pony mix mare that I've had since she was a yearling.
We also have an indoor cat, Trilby and something like 25 or so barn cats - all with names that I won't take the time to post right now!
Had a very nice ride - inside but it's still putting the horse back out. He is outside but with a huge winter blanket and a really great shelter and two friends to cozy up to. I didn't work him too hard because if he gets wet then he has to be blow dried before he can go out. It takes a long time to blow dry a horse.
Yes I do ride inside. Still the horses are outside in their winter blankets and I don't like to work him too hard or he has to be dried before he can go out. It takes a long time to blow dry a horse. I rode yesterday and it was around 30F but the wind really is tiresome. Hopefully we get some spring weather on the first day of spring. Winter has been unusually long this year and I am looking forward to some heat.
