Ahh!! That Omega Horseshine sounds perfect. Too bad it looks like it's only in the US and not in Canada.

I was looking at Buckeye Ultimate Finish and Masterfeed Finishing Touch for vitamins and coat shine all in one and not a bunch of different products. But they also say for weight gain, which he does not need, especially right now that he is not getting worked very hard. Maybe someday if I work him hard, if I ever will.

I am using a Purina product also, Strategy and then a supplement Horse Shine which is good for muscling & has stuff to clear sand and the Omegas for the coat. Last fall he was starting to look less muscled & I was a little concerned about Sand Colic so I tried this. He has gained muscle and I'm seeing a hint of dabbling. I just spend $85. on 4 supplements, 2 for joints and 2 for calming. Currently not feeding any barn provided sweet feed.

Hi Shirley! I think it was the satin sheen as I just groomed him all over with it. He gets good quality hay and a little Purina High Fat High Fibre grain. I am going to stop the Purina Equalizer vitamins and the coca-soya oil since that has been empty for about 3 weeks so hopefully with the other good things he remains in the same condition. Those are added costs and he doesn't need them, it only makes me feel good.

He loves his treats when we go see him, beet pulp, carrots and apples.

I would hate to have to cut his mane where that chunk is gone. Another horse got a mouthful of it a few months ago, wonder how long it will take to grow.
