This graph shows an example of a late maturity mixed grass hay analysis.

The hay producer said "this was good horse hay". A visual confirmed it was a late hay, however the proof was in the hay analysis! I spent $50.00 to have the analysis done but saved myself hundreds of dollars of extra feed that would have been needed to balance this out.

This hay would have been a good "snacking" hay for the horses to keep them busy between meals. The Digestible Energy (calories) was low enough for it to have worked well, but I was not happy with the high iron content (often found in our soils here).
