A Bit About Me and my Horse(s)

I am a recreational rider, who currently owns 2 horses: a grade purebred Quarter Horse, aged 8 and a grade QH x Tb which is two years old.
I was picking my older horse's hooves after after a ride, in the barn one afternoon. Our barn has what I called "stall boxes," boxes mounted on the alleyway walls of all of the box stalls as catch-alls for brushes, combs, wraps, or whatever else they happen to catch. My horse Rusty often knocks brushes, combs or wraps from these boxes, but one afternoon, someone had left a used horseshoe in the wall box. Rusty picked this thing up with with his teeth, and dropped it on the concrete floor. Startled the living daylights out of the two of us, as it was so unexpected! When my heart stopped pounding after he'd yanked his near hind from my hand and the ringing in my ears finally stopped, I placed the used horseshoe where it should have been put in the first place: the recycle bin.
