Dressage Clinic In North Carolina

Sandhills Dressage, located in Ellerbe North Carolina, will be hosting a clinic with Lientje Schueler. The clinic is scheduled for September 12 and 13th; stalls are available for people trailering in for the weekend. Please click the link below to learn more about Schueler.… Continue

Hey, back at ya. We had a great ride today, Jesse is lame a shoe problem. Been thinking of a Pas de Deux with Appie and Jesse, the song would be Anything You Can Do I can Do Better. Dutch Warmblood against POA. Let the games begin.

Oh. i do hunters. I was planning on doing jumpers but my new horse is off the track and we want to teach him how to be SLOW. so jumpers will have to wait. I did do simple dressage with my last horse, Sonny. We also have cross country jumps in out feild I play around with in the Summer.

Haha... his best friend lives in Ellerbe! I'll do some looking and see what I can find. I know the Ark has some unrecognized stuff and that's about 45 minutes from Rockingham. I'll let you know if I find anything!

My BF is actually from Rockingham originally (his family is still there)! I can do some research and see what's available down there as far as eventing. We visit about once a month and he has some horse-y friends in the area that I can talk to.

Where are you located... it seems that there places pretty much everywhere - just finding ones with good footing, and safe jumps is tough! I've only been in NC for a couple of years (started out at the Fork before moving up here), so don't know a whole lot of the areas. BUT I have managed to go to enough places to know where to NOT got! :)

Good ol' Raleigh! It was still a bit bitter this morning, but after riding last week at 6:30 in the 15 degree freeze, this morning was quite alright!

Oh... I also saw that you created the NC group on here. You should also consider joining the NC Horse Network at nchorsenetwork.net. It's just getting up and running, but will *hopefully* be a great resource for NC equestrians.

There are horses that do not think the little fences are worth worrying about. Are you lungeing him over the jumps just in a cavesson, or are you using side reins too? Do you lunge over jumps with a saddle on? Do not use side reins (I am not saying…

Where did I state that medival dressage was humane and correct? I have stipulated that the SRS under Podhajsky presented dressage more correctly. I know who Kottas is and he is not a horseman! Podhajsky was a horseman and even General Patton was a h…
