About Me:
I have a wonderful Hanoverian gelding named Donnie whom I have shown through PSG. In addition to our dressage work, we also go for lots of long hacks through the woods and jump over tiny fences no higher than my knee!

Donnie loves all kinds of special snacks, and if you look at the picture of him with me and my friends, you'll notice he has his eye on my right hand which is emerging from my "treat" pocket!

When I am not riding, I am training in karate and am a Second Degree Black Belt. Kiiaaii!! :)

Hi Barbara,

Good luck with Caspari! I took lessons for a few months at Oxford Ridge Stable, then I was offered a horse there so I took him home with me. (I'm not sure if you saw the big grey gelding in the middle of the barn...)

Casey (Caspari) is a sweetheart, I didn't see him much, but I saw him being ridden once and he is a fantastic, expressive mover. And of course he's good on the ground :)

Hi Barbara,

No, I don't really know Anky. But yes, I was the one doing the interviews! It's a bit of a long story, but I no longer do that work for Equine Lifestyles Mag. I really enjoyed it while it lasted though!

cheers,
Rebecca

The late medieval nobility turned dressage into a sport by giving public demonstrations of "horse ballets" to wow the commoners during public celebrations. They would do airs above the ground as well as movements on the ground. The late medieval kni…

There are horses that do not think the little fences are worth worrying about. Are you lungeing him over the jumps just in a cavesson, or are you using side reins too? Do you lunge over jumps with a saddle on? Do not use side reins (I am not saying…

Where did I state that medival dressage was humane and correct? I have stipulated that the SRS under Podhajsky presented dressage more correctly. I know who Kottas is and he is not a horseman! Podhajsky was a horseman and even General Patton was a h…

Hi Guys,One of the biggest mistakes riders make when we're trying to overcome horseback riding fears is that we direct our efforts toward the conscious mind. You know--willpower, iron-jawed determination. The problem with that strategy is that you c…
