Lise, Im riding a 9 yr old AQHA gelding. 16h. I started going to the gym this week and Yoga. I did all the necessary physio which was a definite plus. I'm hoping the extra exercise and Yoga will help with my overall fitness..

What are you riding Anne Marie?

Wow, Anne-Marie, you really got banged up. Take it easy starting back, it can take a while to get strength back. Being careful and not overdoing it now will contribute to not aching so much as you get older and older.

Hi Debbie
I haven't been on the site much as it has been a busy summer. Lots of
Trail rides this year. My horse & I are both comming into ourselves.I have Improved so I guess she has also improved as well. I also didn't get back into horses until I was in my forties. To bad it took me so long to find the tools to improve and enjoy my riding as I'm now. I will have to get my act together and send you a picture of my precious PALOMINE.
She is very special to me and we have been through so many things together.I hope your summer was a great one with lots of riding with your over 40 group. There is one lady in our group who just celebrated her eighty birthday this summer and is still riding. She is an amazing lady and lots of fun to be around. Talk to you soon.

Love JO

I just got onto this website; thanks for the feedback; I rode in my 20s; got married and then went back to riding in my 40s; after 3 leases I decided to buy one.....my husband regrets that he ever encouraged me to go back to riding! Too late now!! I also have 3 cats...who are recently costing as much as the horse ---my husband is in shock at the cost......hope he "forgets" soon...
