It’s not recommended you start a horse young. You should be waiting till they are at least four years old which is about when horses finish growing. Otherwise, starting them too young can cause damage to their skeletal structure and weakens their muscles and ligaments. How much is too much? Some trainers suggest not working the young horse too much, or very often, especially if a warmblood, to prevent long-term injury. I appoligize for not posting for awhile, been crazy busy. First of all, yes I got the job. I get all my chores done from 8 - 11 am. That means I get up at 7am and so I'm constantly tired, but I do get Friday to Sunday off which is good, I don't think I could handle 7 days a week.
