Who else whinny's when they see me? Who can put their big chin on my shoulder and push me into their chest just so I can wrap my arms around their neck for a hug? Who bows when they smell a hidden treat just so they can eat it? My horse does and that is why I love him so much.

the fact that they have never once told me '"eww...mom jeans..don't ever wear THOSE again cause they make you look fat!,"  like both my daughters have, when they come running up to me in the pasture. 

I love my mare becuase she makes me happy.  I feel more at peace when I'm with her and I think she gives me inner strength (or shows me I'm stronger than I realize) in her own quiet way.  I love her kind eye and her laid back attitude.  Her barn nickname is "The Queen" and she has the personality to match!

...even though he's so young, he's kind and gentle and takes good care of his over-the-hill, but young-at-heart owner. 

I love my horse Belle because she's not superficial.  She doesn't care how my hair looks, if my clothes match, if I have makeup.  She loves me for who I am.  She picked me the day I got her.  And I picked her.  She's my girl.

I love my horse becasue...She never makes fun of the way I look, if my boots are old and worn, She does not see my gray hair, wrinkles or sagging body. She is happy to see me not matter what. OK maybe 'cause I always have a treat for her  

The thing I love most about my horse is that she constantly challenges me.  Her incredible work ethic and focus make me strive to achieve the same!
